If you are wanting big hair and a root boost, like me I love to have big hair especially for nights out, then I would highly recommend these products! I have tried so many products in the past to add extra volume to my hair but within five minutes of being out the door my hair went back to its normal flat self!

All of the following products I purchased from Boots but they are available in other stores such as Superdrug as well as online. They are all relatively cheap products that work wonders so it is definitely worth the money!

The 'Tangle Teezer' hair brush I have had for over a year now and it is the best thing I have ever bought! If you have long thick hair then I highly recommend it, with the length of hair being a struggle especially when its wet this is so handy it gently brushes out knots and does not pull your hair out! (which can be very painful, ouch!) You can buy these online or in the shops prices range from £9-£11.

Next is the Denman Dressing Out Brush, this is designed for long hair but I've used it on my friends with shorter hair than me and it still works amazingly! I use this instead of a basic comb as this comb picks up more hair as you backcomb, it doesn't pull on your hair either, bonus! This cost me £4.29 from Boots but the prices can vary depending on where you purchase it.

I use Boots Expert Thickening shampoo (a cheaper alternative to Bumble&Bumble) to wash my hair, this just gives my hair more texture when its dry as sometimes shampoos can soften the hair so it is more difficult to style and can also make your hair very flat. After using the shampoo I recommend to blow dry your hair upside down as it just helps to lift the roots, when your hair is completely dry it will be very big and a little all over the place (a little crazy but give it a brush with the Tangle Teezer and tadah you have big hair!) Cost- £3.49

In between washes I use Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL volume, you can also get these matching your hair colour, I love this product especially when you have to rush out of the house and don't have enough time to wash your hair this definitely helps hide those greasy roots and adds volume! This was around £3.

Hair Routine

1. Brush hair with the Tangle Teezer before getting into the shower this helps get any knots out making it easier to wash.
2. Wash hair with the Boots Expert thickening shampoo massage into roots and leave on for 2-3 minutes, I tend to use Dove conditioner but any will do as I mainly apply that to the tips of the hair
3. Towel dry hair to get rid of excess water, brush through once again with the Tangle Teezer
4. This is optional but I add some Moroccan Oil to the tips of my hair just to stop them drying out and getting dead ends and also a heat protector spray
5. Then blow dry with the hair upside down
6. Then straighten or curl hair, I tend to use GHD's or Babyliss Heated Rollers
7. Tease the hair with the Denman comb at the roots
8. Finish off with some hairspray I use VO5 High Volume, Extra Strong Hold

Hope you found this useful! :)

Christmas Spree!

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas and New Year! I haven't done a post in forever just because I've been so busy with uni and moving home for Christmas.  Moving back home means living a two minute drive from the White Rose Shopping Centre and a 10 minute drive into Leeds City Centre! This means way too much shopping and easily giving into temptation, I can not resist the sales, (I mean, who can resist?)

So, here is a couple of things I've got over Christmas and in the sales, they are quite recent so they should still be available in the shops, hope you like!

£24 at Primark

Blazer- £7

PJ's- £6
Slippers- £1.50

These were a gift so I'm not entirely sure on the price but I think they are around £6, added a snap of the metallic added with some BarryM glitter :)

£12- Topshop

£4 each at Miss Selfridge

This came in a 2 pack the other spelling 'wish' and these were £4

I think these are great value for money, they are only £19.99 (without student discount!) They are the supersoft skinny jeans and are really comfortable, I love the Topshop supersoft skinnys but these are so much cheaper!

This was also a Christmas present but it is £28, I think it looks much more expensive than the price tag and goes nice with evening and day wear!

Well, I hope you guys like! I know the picture quality isnt great so apologies for that :( but best be getting ready for the January sales! (Best thing about having a birthday in January wuhoo!)
